        Trek along the tundra with Jesus, a TRUSTED friend

True North is FREE for all ages 5 to 12 years old or Pre-K to 6th Grade. 

Children will go on the ultimate adventure where northern lights glow over majestic mountains, racing rivers, and glistening glaciers. As kids trek the tundra, they’ll explore how easy it is to lose sight of what’s true in our wild world today. Pointing them toward Jesus, True North VBS shows them that he is a faithful friend we can always trust. He’s our True North!

Each day the kids will trek into Bible Adventures, Sticky Scripture, Imagination Station, and Glacier Games.  

 

Juneau Puppy's Playhouse is our Pre-School program and it is limited to the first 20 children who are 5 years old or ready to turn 5 at the time of VBS. 

2020 - your child must be born in this year in order to participate in our Pre-School program. 

                                PACK A LUNCH: 

All Preschool and Elementary children need to pack a lunch with snacks for each day of camp. They also need to bring a water bottle with their names on it.  There will be a small snack given to them each day. In preschool they will be provided with a small snack and a juice. Lemonade will be available for the elementary aged children at Glacier Games.

There is no Microwave or Refrigerator space for all the Lunches. Please put an Ice Pack with their Lunch, and do not give them anything that needs to be heated. 

                                 T-SHIRTS

                        All T-shirts cost $25.00.

AS in years past, t-shirts are mandatory for each child attending camp.  These t-shirts help us identify all of the children, and let us know where they are supposed to be throughout the day. 

The t-shirt is color coordinated with the crew they are in.  

 You can pay for your t-shirt on line using the link below or you can pay in person at the church office. The church office is open Monday to Thursday from 9 am to 4 pm..

Your Registration will not be COMPLETE until the T-Shirt is ordered and paid for.

                                    OUTSIDE

Your children will be outside at times during VBS.  Please make sure you pack sunscreen for your child. Please make sure their name is on it.  If you have a child in pre-school and in the elementary program, please make sure they each have their own.  It will be really hard for them to share during the week, since they are in separate programs and not together.

            Community Service - Missions Project 

Also, during the week we will be collecting donations for the Food Bank of Fort McMurray.   

This is our Missions Project during VBS. Our Mission is Fort McMurray !! 

We will be Sharing God's Friendship and Love, by helping our neighbors who may need a little help during this time. 

This is voluntary and your child is under no obligation to participate. We are hoping that your child will want to open their hearts freely, and help us Share God's Love and Friendship throughout Fort McMurray. 

The children will have a goal of 2025 pounds of food. When they reach this goal, the children will have a reward that is wet and wild. 

                               VOLUNTEERS 

We are always looking for Volunteers. We appreciate the help and are so very thankful for those that give of their time.  

All Volunteers must FILL OUT both the Adult Registration form and the Volunteer Form.  The Volunteer form doesn’t tell me anything about you in case of an emergency. So please make sure you fill out both forms. 

When you register to Volunteer you will be emailed a letter that must be taken to the RCMP office in Timberlea.  All Volunteers must have a criminal background check.  

When you receive your criminal background check, you must hand in the original form to the church. We will gladly make a photo copy for you, but we at NorthLife Fellowship Baptist Church must have the original. 

Make sure when you are getting your background check you ask the RCMP to mail it to the church. Then you don't have to go back and pick it up.  Once it is mailed to us, you will be notified that we have received it. 

                          Celebration Service 

                            Sunday, July 13th.

This will be a pot luck barbecue.  Everyone is being asked to bring a bag of chips, pretzels, dish to pass.

The celebration service will start at 10:30 am, and the potluck will immediately follow. 

All children who had perfect attendance Monday through Thursday of VBS, will have their name put into a drawing to win a Spectacular Prize. 

They must be present at the Celebration Service in order to win.  

                                   Dismissal

This year we will have a special VIP section for parents. At times parents would like to see our opening and closing program.  We will have available seating for you again. 

At the closing Ceremony for the day, these are very important lessons for the children. They tie their day together and bring to a close all they learned. 

For parents present for the closing program we ask that you sit in the chairs provided. Please do not disrupt the crews by sitting with the crews on the floor, or asking your children to sit with you.  We will always dismiss the parents first, and then the children will be dismissed by crews.  

Last year dismissal went so smoothly and it was much more organized for the parents. We want to thank you all for your patience and participating in this for us.
