FREE EVENT | Ages 3 to Adult are encouraged to attend this wonderful week of Vacation Bible School. During this week our children will look closely at the details of God’s amazing world that magnify and proclaim the greatness of God. For our adults we are having special guest speakers each night who will be teaching about important issues we all face life. Everyone is encouraged to register and plan to attend.

ADULT VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL SCHEDULE
We welcome all parents and adults to be part of the adult classes planned throughout the week at Mars Hill. Parents are encouraged to drop their children off and stick around for our “Adult VBS.” Below is a tentative schedule and list of our guest speakers.
6:30 pm - Adults are invited to come and be part of the worship rally in the sanctuary and enjoy a time of worship and hear about what they will be learning.
After the worship rally, adults are invited to stay in the sanctuary or, for those who are outside, to gather in the sanctuary for the night’s lesson. Before the lesson, we will enjoy a sit-down game where everyone can participate, followed by prayer at about 7:00 pm. Afterwards, our guest speakers will deliver the lessons they have prepared.
The lesson will end at about 8:00 pm which will allow us about 30 minutes for everyone to fellowship together as the children finish up their night at Vacation Bible School.

Monday | July 14th | Eddie Thompson
Lesson Topic - Marriage and Family
Eddie is a retired minister and former employee of the Baptist State Convention. He and his wife Janet live in Raleigh and are proud grandparents. They have also conducted numerous marriage conferences over the years.
Tuesday | July 15th | Bob Stephenson
Lesson Topic - “Dealing with Grief”
Bob is the pastor of Riverside Baptist Church in Graham, NC where he has seved since 2002. He has been ministering full time since 1973, and has served in all staff and pastoral roles. In addition, he served for 18 years as a Children's Special Worker with the North Carolina Baptist State Convention leading training events across the state and has a passion for the needs of children.
Wednesday | July 16th | Jonathan Hendricksson (Tentative)
Lesson Topic - “Does God Exist?”
Jonathan is the pastor of Crossroads Baptist Church in Hillsborough, where he has been serving since 2023. He is also a former adjunct professor of apologetics at Clear Creek Baptist Bible College in Pineville, Kentucky. He has a passion for apologetics (the defense of the truth of the Christian faith).
Thursday | Juth 17th | Derrick Smith
Special Music Night
Derrick is the pastor of Smithwood Christian Church in Liberty NC where he has served since 2020. Derrick is a talented pianist and singer who has blessed our adult VBS class before with wonderful music and teaching. We are thankful that he as agreed to come again and provide music coupled with teaching for our Adult VBS.
Friday - July 18th
Ice Cream Social and
Erin Engle (in the worship rally)
On Friday we will not have a formal adult class as we will be having a homemade ice cream social to end our week of Vacation Bible School. The kids will have an abbreviated schedule of events ending with the ice cream social, which will begin at 8 p.m. In the worship rally at 6:30 p.m., Erin Engle will be with us from Life Choices of Roxboro to receive the mission’s offering that will be collected throughout the week. She will also be sharing about the ministry of Life Choices of Roxboro and how they help expectant mothers in crisis.
As many of our adults will be preparing the ice cream for the evening’s celebration, we invite all adults to fellowship in the bus garage behind the church, where the ice cream social will be held.
